Pro bono opportunities at The Prisoners' Advice Service

This charity provides legal advice and information to prisoners' about their rights, particularly the application of the Prison Rules and conditions of imprisonment.

The opportunity has arisen to volunteer at the PAS- usually the commitment is one day a week for 3 months, with an allowance for lunch. The work would be broad ranging, and might cover assisting with research, drafting and ongoing cases. This is an excellent opportunity for LLB and LLM students, particularly for those interested in criminal law and human rights. Further details about how to apply are available from the charity.
