Summer internships at the Bar Pro Bono Unit
June – September 2011
The Bar Pro Bono Unit is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to volunteer as Summer Casework Interns at our office in The National Pro Bono Centre on Chancery Lane, London.
You will be assisting the caseworkers with:
*administrative support
*allocating cases to volunteer barristers across England and Wales
*summarising applications ready for our reviewing barristers
*completing case reports for our management committee
This internship is a fantastic opportunity to obtain unique exposure to the Bar as a profession and to a wide range of areas of law. You will also learn a great deal about the practical working of the courts and the needs of litigants in person.
You must have completed at least one year of law-related study or law-related work. Voluntary sector and office experience is preferred but not essential. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at our office.
As a small charity with limited staff and resources we are not able to provide feedback or discuss the internships with you.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 8th May 2011 at 11pm.
